What We’re Looking For:
Our team is looking for a Field Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing programs across Japan. The goal of the marketing program is to drive brand awareness, generate and accelerate pipeline opportunities and increase product adoption of Meltwater’s product suite across the Japan market. This position is part of a local marketing team in Japan and reports into the Marketing Lead for Japan.
The APAC Marketing team at Meltwater is a key growth engine for the business. The team focuses on demand generation to drive sales by working closely with regional sales leadership and global cross-functional teams to support Meltwater’s continued growth in the region.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop the program calendar and budget plan for Japan.
- Act as a credible business partner to the sales team, translating needs into tailored regional marketing.
- Demonstrate expertise in B2B and persona-based marketing, understanding buyer processes and personas.
- Execute integrated marketing programs, including account based marketing, trade shows, events, webinars and content.
- Initiate, formulate and implement a wide range of promotion and marketing activities for hosted and sponsored events, from speaker invitation to on site event management;
- Establish and maintain good relationships with chambers of commerce, associations, sales partners, suppliers and customers
- Collaborate programmatically with broader marketing teams to scale and succeed in the region.
- Keep sales informed about marketing activities, from global to local.
- Track performance, ROI, and utilize insights for improved marketing planning and execution.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years experience in Field Marketing, account based marketing, event and marketing experience in a technology company.
- A solid understanding of the digital media landscape in Japan.
- Demonstration of a metrics-driven approach and can show ROI by tracking results from activity against budget.
- Proven track-record of success in partnering with sales to generate pipeline.
- An effective team player who excels in fast-paced, high-growth environments and possesses strong skills in prioritization, adaptability, and problem-solving.
- A self-starter who possesses a growth mindset.
- Experience in measuring and analysing data and developing recommendations based on analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Japanese and English.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation software. Marketo/Salesforce experience a plus.
- The ability to legally work in the country of hire is required for this position.
